Teen's Tongue Lengthened To Speak Korean | teenager's bizarre tongue surgery

We all know learning to speak a foreign language requires a painstaking practice. But this girl Rhiannon Brooksbank, has her own easy way, it's tongue surgery!

19-year-old British student Rhiannon Brooksbank took her love for the Korean culture to new level when she had her tongue surgically lengthened so she could speak the language better

Korean language obsessed 19-year-old British student Rhiannon Brooksbank fail to improve Korean accent irrespective of her best try.

Her dentist advised that the problem might be coming from her thicker-than-average lingual frenulum -- the piece of skin connecting the tongue to the bottom of the mouth.

So, after consulting with her parents and language tutor, Brooksbank decided to undergo a simple operation known as a lingual frenectomy, which involves a surgeon either using a scalpel or a laser to remove the frenulum – the band of tissue that connects that tongue to the floor of the mouth.

Rhiannon's tongue is now 1 cm longer, and she can pronounce words that she couldn't before the surgery.

Happy Rhiannon Brooksbank said : 'The surgical procedure was my only option. My pronunciation was very 'foreign', but now I can speak with a native Korean accent'.
